It has been established in the year 1988.
To build a nation wide association, before the practices in Equotherapy were already spread out;
To create a technical and scientific council to help on assisting the board of Directors;
To define the Equotherapy as a rehabilitation practicing and not simply a sportive or leisure activity.
To demand that the therapy should be held by a multi- professional team, within an inter- disciplinary approach.
To stimulate the raising of de number of centers of Equotherapy, in accordance with their local conditions and also
economicaly independent from ANDE-BRASIL.

To gather conditions for ANDE-BRASIL to:
be able to form the essential human resources;
develop a Brazilian doctrine for the Equotherapy practice, within ethical and scientific principles;
coordenate and supervise the practices of therapies employing the horse, nationaly, to keep the integrity of the
rehabilitation practice through Equotherapy.
enhance the possibilities to offer the Equotherapy for the persons that need it and that belong to lower social
classes, with poor financial resources.
