To contribute for the global rehabilitation of people with disabilities or with special needs, through the activities
and practices of Equotherapy;
To rule, give supervision, control and coordinate the afiliated centers of Equotherapy over the national territory;
To assist the Government and the non-governmental Organisms on executing the actions described above, in face of
existing Organizations that may be practicing other types of therapies with the assistance of horses;
To qualify professional resources by promoting and stimulating the ministration of courses, investigative studies
and statistical surveys, regarding the development of a scientific methodology and a specialized personnel formation;
To stimulate and give support for the development of Equotherapy Centers, which shall observe the most rigid ethical,
eficiency and safety standards;
To stimulate the development of policies regarding the persistent need for resources from the governmental and from
non-governmental sectors, in order to expand the Equotherapy practice to those people living in poor economic conditions and that would not
be able to pay for the therapy.
